Our mission is to employ gospel music to express the power of Spirit and bring a message of faith, hope, love and joy to our community, the country and the world; to exemplify through interfaith, multiracial, and multicultural membership the principles of equality, justice, peace, unity and cooperation; and to serve as a model for what is possible among people.

Community Engagement
The Portland Interfaith Gospel Choir has performed yearly at multiple fundraisers and benefits throughout the greater Portland and Vancouver metropolitan area. Past collaborations have included:

- Kingdom Harvest Ministries - An African-based congregation that raised funds for a school project in Liberia
- Hand-in-Hand Education Program - A Center for Jewish & Arab Education focused on building a shared society in Israel
- Community of Welcoming Congregations - An organization that raises awareness of inclusive spiritual practices for the LGBTQ community
- The Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Memorial - Portland's largest and longest running MLK Memorial Celebration
